Saturday, March 26, from 11:00 am. – 7:00 pm.

Sunday, March 27, from 11.00 am. – 5.00 pm.

A record number of visitors from all over Florida and beyond descended on MarcoIsland

for the 2^nd MarcoIsland Seafood Festival. Over 9000 people enjoyed the wide variety of seafood and other local favorites. There were many deserts available, including home made ice cream and a Dutch specialty from Dutchkinz, called “poffertjes.”

The Florida Lottery generously donated a professional stage for the a myriad of entertainment provided by 10 bands and musicians. JRobert. of Mangrove Music (www.mangrovemusic.com) organized the two days of continuous music..

The Lely Jazz Band,” The GladeZmen, Jeff Hilt, Lords of Cool, Jim Long, Jezebelle & the Sunset Bay Band, Myles Loud, the Marco Island Strummers and Frank Carroll.

Arts & Craft organizer, Pam Patullo, (www.kraftfairs.com) brought 62 vendors, creating a market shoppers paradise. The 2010 festival provided true family entertainment, including much visited bounce houses and climbing walls. Amber Prange, from the city’s Parks & Recreation Department offered free face painting for children. Debbie Odom of Island Hoppers Helicopter Tours flew in fresh crawfish from Louisiana and gave out free samples. 

Organizers are grateful to the many sponsors listed below, the City of Marco Island and the Marco Island Chamber of Commerce, Publix and the 200 volunteers who offered their time and effort to make the festival such a success.

The funds raised will allow The Sunrise Rotary Club, The Noon Time Rotary Club and the Kiwanis Foundation to continue their local and international humanitarian programs.
